Dehydrating Whole Peppers
I've been picking peppers all summer long. I have been using them in recipes, but really there are just too many to eat right now.
I have been dehydrating slices of jalapenos to use in soups, stews, and beans. The main problem with that is that is is time consuming and also if you don't use gloves you can burn your hands.
I did an internet search to see if it was possible to just dehydrate whole peppers and sure enough it was possible. So that is what I have been doing.
First, I washed the peppers under cold running water.
Next, I placed the jalapenos on the dehydrating trays.
Finally, I let them dehydrate in the dehydrator until they were dry. It took at least 2 -3 complete days.
I also found this video to help me through this process. I hope you find it helpful too.
Have a great dehydrating and homesteading day!
