Homemade Blueberry Jam

I made a batch of homemade blueberry jam this week. I made 15 jars of 4 ounces of jam for my farm stay guests. I put one jar in our farm cabin for them to use. It taste great with fresh made scones or biscuits!
Homemade Blueberry Jam
It is very simple to make this blueberry jam. The only ingredients is blueberries and sugar.
Here is what I did.
1. Sterilize canning jars and lids.
2. Thoroughly wash blueberries under running water.
3. Combine 9 cups of blueberries with 6 cups of sugar  in a large pot.
4. Bring slowly to a boil and stir occasionally.
5. As mixture thickens, stir frequently to prevent scorching and sticking.
6. Once desired thickness is reached remove from heat.
7. Pour hot jam into hot jars, leaving about 1/4 inch head space.
8. Wipe jar rims and add lids.
9. Process jars for 5 minutes in a boiling water bath.
10. After jars cool, check jars to ensure they sealed correctly.

I also explain how I did this on my podcast. You can find my podcast here.
