Sweet Dreams Winery
Last Saturday we went to Sweet Dreams Winery in Palestine, Texas.
For $4 we tasted 14 different wines. They were all country sipping wines. They were many flavors such as blackberry grape, blueberry, pear, plum, peach, watermelon, muscadine, honey pear, honey raspberry, mustang (wild grapes), blackberry blueberry, and even a jalapeño wine!
After the tasting they took us on a tour of how they made their wines. The guide was very knowledgeable and informative. He even gave me some help on some of my own wine making questions. They were very Texas friendly. After the tour we bought a bottle of Texas County Roads Red and Outlaw Red. We sat out on the covered porch overlooking their vineyard and listen to Withrow Cooley.
They played some really nice music mainly classic rock and blues. It was nice to sit out in the evening summer breeze, drink a nice bottle of sweet wine, listen to a good band, talk and laugh, and dance to a couple of songs. My husband and I had such a good time at Sweet Dreams Winery! It was well worth the visit!
